Job Description

The QE Testing Analyst [Automation] will be responsible for delivering high-quality and timely test planning and execution activities across multiple platforms. Reporting to the Service Delivery Lead, the ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, methodical, and inquisitive individual passionate about quality assurance.

As part of the IM IT Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring automation testing excellence across our SAFe Agile environment. You will collaborate with teams worldwide, both in person and remotely, to optimize test automation capabilities that align with key business goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. QE Automation Roadmap & Execution

• Develop and execute the QE Automation roadmap for assigned teams.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks for critical and complex business applications.
• Ensure test automation coverage for in-sprint and regression testing.
• Execute automated test scripts, track defects, and report issues.
• Prioritize test cases and create execution plans with maximum coverage.
• Track and report automation progress according to planned schedules.

2. Agile Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in PI & Sprint Planning and other Agile ceremonies.
• Identify and support automation and DevOps opportunities for CI/CD pipelines.
• Work towards increasing test automation penetration across all methodologies.
• Develop skills in new automation tools and technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Contribute to the implementation of innovative testing solutions.
• Adhere to Quality Engineering best practices and advocate for process improvements.

3. Mentorship & Leadership

• Guide and mentor junior QE resources, enhancing team capabilities.
• Lead deep failure analysis to address automation failures effectively.
• Ensure defect management and detailed reporting throughout the test cycle.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
✔ 2 - 5 years of experience in QE - Test Automation.
✔ 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience with Selenium & Cucumber automation tools.
✔ Expertise in automation of web-based applications and APIs.
✔ Strong experience in Java scripting for developing automation scripts.
✔ Knowledge of custom automation solutions & reusable functions.
✔ Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline execution.
✔ Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) & Agile methodologies.
✔ Broad knowledge of automated testing tools and web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.).
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
✔ Ability to work independently, lead teams, and collaborate effectively.
✔ Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and continuous learning.

Desirable:

✔ Experience in web automation using other automation tools & frameworks.
✔ Exposure to codeless automation tools.
✔ Experience in desktop & mainframe automation.
✔ Hands-on experience with Jenkins/Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
✔ Familiarity with RPA automation tools.
✔ Knowledge of Salesforce & Vlocity application testing.
✔ Automation experience with mainframe applications.
✔ Proficiency in Python or C# for test automation.
