Key Responsibilities:
- AP Reconciliation: Ensure timely completion of AP reconciliations in Blackline as per the Compromise Schedule.
- Compliance: Review all reconciliations and related supports to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
- Open Transactions: Ensure that open transactions are cleared in accordance with the agreed Money Policy rules.
- Comment Updates: Ensure that comments are updated for matured open transactions, describing research and follow-up actions taken.
- P2P Reconciliation: Ensure compliance with back-office policies such as compromise policy and other relevant procedures for P2P reconciliations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to the processing team.
- SOX Control: Ensure consistent adherence to internal audit/SOX control tests and timely submission of required reports by JTP/Amex GBT team.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with various teams (Controllership, Billing, Market Finance, Vendor Relations, Net Suite/Blackline technical support, etc.) to close open transactions.
- External Audits: Work closely with external auditors (Big4/others) to understand their requirements and deadlines, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Focus on identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Project Support: Assist the Director with project-related work as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate in Finance with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Tools Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Amex GBT tools, such as Net Suite and Blackline, is preferred.
- P2P Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of the P2P process and its linkages with other financial areas.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated technical skills with in-depth knowledge of Amex GBT tools for reconciliation analysis and reviews.
- Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude and strong analytical and financial skills.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively present financial data to senior management and clearly explain issues and necessary support.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in challenging situations, multitasking under deadlines with minimal guidance.
- Customer & Business Focus: Capable of handling challenging requests, building trust with clients, managing expectations, and defining client/business needs.
- Collaboration: A strong team player who collaborates with others, encourages participation, and recognizes colleagues' contributions.
