Job Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Manager – Data Analyst – IT, a data-driven leader with a strong background in analytics, data engineering, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, program execution, and process improvement, with the ability to balance both big-picture strategy and detailed analysis.

This role involves leading, coaching, and mentoring a talented team of 4 to 8 data analysts and data engineers at the India Knowledge Center. You will work closely with Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty technology teams to analyze data, develop insights, and support key business decisions.

???? Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Collaboration

✔ Lead and develop a team of data analysts and data engineers
✔ Collaborate with Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty teams to understand application/system functionality
✔ Work closely with developers, business analysts, UX teams, and leadership to drive data-informed decision-making
✔ Track new functionality and processes to generate timely insights

Data Engineering & Analytics

✔ Design and develop schemas for data acquisition, transformation, and integration across platforms
✔ Build and maintain databases, data pipelines, and data warehouses
✔ Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics to drive business insights
✔ Analyze application performance to optimize digital experiences
✔ Create data visualization dashboards and reporting tools to assist leadership in data-driven decision-making

Process Improvement & Automation

✔ Identify and implement internal process improvements, including automation and infrastructure optimization
✔ Improve data modeling and coding to enhance analytics capabilities
✔ Develop and manage the Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty project portfolio

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

✔ Prepare and present insight reports to senior leadership, including Vice Presidents & Managing Directors
✔ Translate complex data insights into clear, non-technical language for stakeholders
✔ Communicate updates to both US & India-based leadership teams

Required Qualifications

???? Education & Experience:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
✔ 6+ years experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Data Engineering (including 3+ years in a Fortune 1000 company)
✔ 1+ year experience in a leadership/supervisory role

???? Technical Skills:
✔ Expert-level SQL skills with experience in massive data sets (SQL & Non-SQL)
✔ Strong experience in Business Intelligence (BI) dashboarding tools:

• Power BI, Tibco Spotfire, Tableau, or similar tools
  ✔ Hands-on experience in eCommerce analytics:
• Web, Mobile App, and Loyalty Programs
  ✔ Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  ✔ Proficiency in data modeling, predictive analytics, and automation
  ✔ Experience analyzing application performance and user behavior

???? Soft Skills & Leadership:
✔ Strong problem-solving ability to derive insights from complex datasets
✔ Ability to translate technical data insights into business-friendly reports
✔ Proven experience in leading teams & managing multiple projects
✔ Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills

???? Compliance & Legal Requirements:
✔ Must be legally authorized to work in India without sponsorship
✔ Fluent in English (written & spoken)
✔ Reliable & punctual attendance is essential

Preferred Qualifications

???? Advanced Degrees & Certifications:
✅ MBA or Master’s degree in Operations Research, Information Systems, or Aviation Management
✅ Certifications in:

• Google Data Analytics Professional
• Power BI Data Analyst Associate
• AWS Certified Data Analytics
• Enterprise Data Warehouse Certifications

???? Industry & Technical Expertise:
✅ 3+ years experience in a leadership role
✅ 2+ years experience in a Fortune 500 company
✅ Experience working in an international location outside the home country
✅ Previous experience in the airline/travel industry is a plus
✅ Familiarity with AWS technologies:

• Redshift, Quicksight, Athena, Big Query
  ✅ Knowledge of Quantum Metrics, Akamai technologies, and programming languages (Python, Spark, R)
  ✅ Experience implementing Agile practices for continuous integration & delivery
