Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Marketing and Loyalty Data Analysis team is responsible for generating data-driven insights and innovations across MileagePlus and Marketing. This position will support United's Chicago headquarters by conducting analyses on customer engagement, loyalty performance, and marketing data to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability for MileagePlus and Marketing.

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for building business intelligence in marketing and loyalty areas, using SQL to create and run complex queries on large datasets. They will also use data analysis and modeling platforms to drive engagement campaigns. The Senior Analyst will present findings to business partners and make actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert in their current focus area, taking ownership and providing the necessary data.
• Gain trust from partners by ensuring timely communications and follow-ups.
• Regularly provide possible solutions to business teams with minimal guidance, translating business needs into technical requirements.
• Develop storyboards, create decks, and present work to leadership.
• Use data analysis, mining, optimization tools, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques to implement solutions for business problems.

This position is offered under local terms and conditions. Relocation and sponsorship for work visas will not be provided, even for those with temporary visa status. This role is with United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4+ years of prior experience in analysis.
• Creative, driven, and detail-oriented individuals who enjoy tackling complex problems with data and insights.
• Proficient in using database querying tools and able to write complex queries and procedures — advanced SQL skills required.
• Skilled in visualizations and familiar with reporting tools like Spotfire.
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis and algorithms in a clear, concise, and meaningful way.
• Legally authorized to work in India for any business without sponsorship.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Successful completion of an interview is required to meet job qualifications.
• Strong, dependable attendance is a fundamental requirement of the position.

Preferred:

• Experience in loyalty and marketing domains.
• Experience in campaign analysis.
• Proven project management experience.
• Familiarity with Foundry and Data Robotics.
• Strong knowledge of R/Python/SAS.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
