The Support Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, integrating, testing, and deploying APIs and microservices to connect core platforms with user experiences. This role involves solving business problems through technology, working within an Agile framework, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Depending on the team, responsibilities may include:
✅ Building CI/CD pipelines
✅ Creating test strategies
✅ Developing cloud environments for the development process
✅ Ensuring high-quality, automated software delivery

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development & Integration:

  • Utilize the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to implement technology solutions.
  • Analyze and interpret functional and non-functional requirements into technical design, application code, and solution parameters.
  • Develop and integrate APIs, microservices, and cloud-based solutions.

• Testing & Quality Assurance:

  • Design and execute unit tests to proactively identify issues.
  • Analyze code to detect errors and defects, providing timely remediation.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

• Technical Support & Maintenance:

  • Provide on-call technical support as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in both development and production environments.

• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Mentor peers by providing technical guidance and feedback.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices.

• Business Acumen & Problem Solving:

  • Understand business challenges and develop technology-driven solutions.
  • Work independently while influencing the team to achieve desired business outcomes.

Reporting & Work Environment

• Reports to: Technology Head of Engineering
• Direct Reports: None
• Work Environment: Hybrid office setting, with occasional travel as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements:

???? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
???? 2-5 years of relevant software development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

✅ 5+ years of experience in a related field
✅ Proficiency in at least two programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, Golang, C++)
✅ Strong knowledge of APIs and microservices development

Technical Skills:

???? Agile Development Processes & DevOps Practices
???? Cloud Technologies (Azure or AWS equivalent)

• Application Services, Functions, API Management
• Logic Apps, Data Factory, Event Hub
• SQL Server, CosmosDB
  ???? Experience with CI/CD tools, automation frameworks, and testing strategies
  ???? Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
