Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented GIS Engineer to join our team, specializing in drone survey data processing and DGPS (Differential GPS) technology. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and hands-on experience working with geospatial data collected via drone surveys and DGPS systems. You will be responsible for processing drone data, analyzing it, creating reports, and performing digitization tasks while ensuring high precision and supporting decision-making for various projects, including land surveying, infrastructure development, and environmental monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Perform photogrammetric processing of drone imagery to generate accurate Digital Surface Models (DSM), Digital Terrain Models (DTM), Slope Maps, Point Clouds, Orthomosaics, and dense Point Clouds.
• Geo-reference images using processed orthomosaics to align with project coordinates and perform digitization tasks to extract vector data from geo-referenced images.
• Create detailed geographical maps in AutoCAD and other relevant GIS software.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on executed projects, including survey reports, completion reports, and documentation on the progress and outcomes of drone surveys in various locations.
• Convert geospatial data into required formats per client specifications, including JPG, DWG, Raster, and Vector formats.
• Manage and process geospatial data using spatial data formats like Shapefiles, GeoTIFF, KML, and others.
• Integrate data from multiple sources for comprehensive spatial analysis.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of UAV technology, remote sensing principles, and photogrammetry for effective drone survey data processing and mapping.
• Apply photogrammetric principles to produce high-accuracy 3D models and geospatial data.
• Experience with LiDAR data processing is a plus.
• Proficient in industry-standard software such as Agisoft, Pix4D, QGIS, ArcGIS, Global Mapper, AutoCAD, and Google Earth Pro.
• Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for project documentation and reporting.

Requirements

• Education: M.Sc/M.Tech in Geoinformatics, GIS, Remote Sensing, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in drone surveying, photogrammetry, and GIS mapping.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of drone data processing techniques and GIS.
  • Familiarity with photogrammetry software such as Agisoft and Pix4D.
  • Knowledge of spatial data formats (Shapefiles, GeoTIFF, KML, etc.) and geospatial data management.
  • Experience with UAV technology, remote sensing, and photogrammetric principles.
  • Knowledge of LiDAR data processing is a bonus.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, QGIS, and other relevant GIS software.
