Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President-level iOS App Development Lead to join its Wealth Management Technology (WM_Technology) team in Bangalore. This role focuses on leading the development of our flagship E*TRADE and Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Apps, with a hybrid work model (minimum 3 days on-premises).

• Analytics, Intelligence & Data Technology (AIDT)

• Client Platforms

• Core Technology Services (CTS)

• Financial Advisor Platforms

• Global Banking Technology (GBT)

• UX & Delivery Management

???? Role & Responsibilities

As the iOS App Development Lead, you will:

• Translate Obj-C/UIKit code to Swift/Swift UI

• Migrate functionality into Swift Packages for consistency

• Ensure support for Swift 6.0 and strict concurrency

• Reduce code warnings to zero and enforce SwiftLint

• Replace third-party SDKs (e.g., Realm) with Apple frameworks

• Conduct regular codebase maintenance for iOS/Xcode compatibility

• Guide junior developers and review architectural pull requests

• Participate in annual maintenance, certificate and provisioning updates

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on iOS development support issues

Note: Feature development, monitoring, and analytics may be handled by other teams initially.

???? Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum 8 years in iOS development

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Expert in Swift 6, Swift UI, Obj-C, UIKit

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Swift Concurrency, Actor Isolation, Threading

    • Crash analysis and performance tuning

    • Broad iOS APIs: Local Authentication, WebKit, Networking

  • Familiar with the latest Xcode, xcodebuild, and iOS SDKs

• Leadership: Experience mentoring team members and conducting code reviews

• Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills

• API development experience

• Awareness of Android development

• Strong user experience (UX) sensibility
