Quality Engineer (QE) – Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Quality Engineer (QE) to join our team in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. As part of the QE team, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality software development through automation, cloud-based testing, and agile methodologies.

You will participate in the agile development process, ensure proper documentation, collaborate with developers to investigate complex scenarios, reproduce issues, and perform PVTs (Production Validation Tests). Your goal will be to achieve maximum functional test coverage through automation and support applications in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Participate in the agile development process, ensuring comprehensive test documentation
✅ Investigate and reproduce complex issues, working closely with developers
✅ Automate test cases to achieve optimal test coverage (targeting 100%)
✅ Support applications in production, performing PVTs and debugging issues
✅ Conduct internal demos showcasing test results and automation coverage

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have Skills:

✔ 5+ years of experience in enterprise software testing, delivering high-quality products
✔ Proven experience in building automation frameworks from scratch for batch automation in cloud environments
✔ Strong Java programming skills and solid software engineering concepts
✔ Expertise in test automation frameworks, including:

• Cucumber BDD/Check
• Selenium
• TestNG
  ✔ Experience with GCP-based services, such as:
• Google Cloud Storage (GCS)
• Bigtable
• Dataproc Metastore
• Dataflow
• Cloud Composer
  ✔ Proficiency in JSON, XML, YAML, and Big Data file formats (AVRO, CSV, PARQUET)
  ✔ Strong knowledge of test management tools
  ✔ Hands-on experience with source control tools like Git
  ✔ Experience in CI/CD pipelines and automation
  ✔ Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset

Preferred Skills:

✔ Experience in batch testing with a deep understanding of GCP services
✔ Knowledge of Cloud Composer workflow orchestration and Cloud Pub/Sub
✔ Cloud certification (Google Cloud Platform - GCP or AWS) is a plus
