About the Job

We are looking for a Senior Developer who will align with the following objectives:

1. Deliver High-Quality Code: Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code that meets business requirements and user needs.
2. Mentor Team Members: Guide and support junior developers to help them grow professionally.
3. Improve Development Cycles: Continuously optimize the software development lifecycle to enhance productivity and quality.
4. Ensure Security Best Practices: Integrate security measures into development to safeguard applications and data.
5. Collaborate Effectively: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
6. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new technologies and practices to drive innovation and improve solutions.
7. Optimize Performance: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure efficient and responsive systems.
8. Drive Code Quality: Advocate for best practices in coding, version control, and testing across the team.

As part of the Engineering team, you'll report to the Engineering Director and work closely with the Publishing team. You can choose to work from any location across India, with occasional travel required for team events held at or outside the Hyderabad office.

Key Responsibilities

• Active technical design, development, and code review for maintaining Appfire's products.
• Conduct feasibility analysis and provide effort estimation.
• Perform root cause analysis of software defects, working with complex codebases.
• Improve functionality, reliability, performance, and usability of the software products.
• Follow high programming standards, including coding, documentation, version control, and testing practices.
• Work closely with team members in an Agile development environment.
• Collaborate effectively with peers, QA, Support, and Product Management.

Required Skills and Experience

• A B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience in Java, Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and web UI technologies like HTML5, CSS4, and jQuery.
• Proven experience in Node.js or AngularJS.
• Experience working with JSON and XML.
• AWS Cloud experience is a plus.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Ability to play an architectural role and design solutions for complex business and integration problems.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex codebases.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with small teams.
• Self-motivated multitasker with creative problem-solving abilities.
