Work Summary: Houston Gifted Consultancy is seeking a responsible and dedicated School Transport Driver to join our team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will be entrusted with the safe transportation of students to and from school. This is a full-time position requiring a professional driver who can operate vehicles safely while ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride for children. Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport students to and from school within assigned routes.

• Ensure the bus is clean and well-maintained before and after each trip.

• Adhere to all traffic laws and school transportation regulations.

• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while driving, especially during emergencies or adverse situations.

• Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring that younger or special-needs students receive proper care.

• Ensure students are seated and that seat belts (if available) are fastened.

• Promptly report any maintenance or safety issues to management.

• Maintain an accurate log of hours worked and routes driven.

• Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and supervisors.

• Participate in safety training programs as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Experience in operating large vehicles, preferably buses.

• Ability to work with children and foster a positive atmosphere.

• Knowledge of traffic laws and school safety regulations.

• Capability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Good physical condition and ability to lift children if necessary.

Experience:

• Prior experience as a school bus driver or in a similar driving role is preferred.

• Customer service experience or working with children is an advantage.

• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance or general mechanical skills is beneficial.

Working Hours:

• This is a full-time role, typically involving morning and evening school shifts.

• Flexibility in scheduling may be required based on school needs and extracurricular activities.
