Job Description

ICF is expanding its Aviation Finance team and is looking for a Director based in Delhi to oversee and manage day-to-day operations of small to mid-level projects. In this role, you will be responsible for leading projects, managing junior staff, and supporting senior staff on larger consultancy projects. You will work closely with the ISTAT-certified appraisers and aviation experts to guide clients through industry challenges, including airline restructurings, sustainable finance, and new aircraft developments.

As part of the team, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to business development efforts and build client relationships while supporting ICF’s thought leadership in the aviation finance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Client Projects: Develop work scope, approach, and manage project delivery while ensuring optimal solutions and timely completion.
• Client Relationships: Act as the main point of contact for clients, building and maintaining long-term trusted relationships.
• Team Development: Mentor and train junior staff, developing high-performing teams.
• Project Oversight: Create project budgets, manage risk throughout the project lifecycle, and ensure successful delivery.
• Aviation Finance Expertise: Contribute to projects related to aircraft valuations, lease income forecasting, asset-backed securitizations, and emerging topics like sustainable finance.
• Business Development: Participate in the creation of proposals, attend conferences, and contribute to the company’s thought leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of work experience in an aviation finance-related role at a financial institution, aircraft lessor, airline, OEM/ Supplier, or an aviation consultancy.
• Project Management: Proven experience in managing projects or initiatives, with a strong ability to create structured work plans and workflows.
• Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel with a strong analytical mindset.
• Willingness to Travel: Must be open to travel as needed.
• Work Environment: Comfortable working in a flat organizational structure and agile work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in aviation finance.
• Certifications: ISTAT Appraiser or Candidate status.
• Industry Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry, including sustainability and emerging trends.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel).
• Data Tools: Knowledge of other analytical and data visualization tools (PowerBI, Python, SQL) is a plus.
